Not ready to confront home just yet

I knew that in order to be happy I would need to upend my entire life. I would need to break up with my girlfriend of six years, quit my office job, leave Long Island, and evolve into someone capable of a life of adventure.

But as is still the case, I find it very hard to say goodbye to a chapter of my life, no matter how miserable it makes me, though that is getting significantly easier these days. So I stalled, and sat in the traffic in my head, and also because coming back to LI there's always traffic, so it made sense. The segue away last chapter helps simulate the illusion of time and travel.

The next ten chapters are all over the place, but a lot of heavy diatribes and essays about what I saw was wrong with everyone, especially myself as a part of the machine. Here I start dissecting our world with marketing vehicle names and false expectations.
